Christian Eriksen has given his pre-match views from the Vitality Stadium – and says we can only focus on the job in hand against Bournemouth today with the second leg of our Champions League semi-final against Ajax looming large.
We take on the Cherries in today’s early 12.30pm kick-off knowing victory will secure a place in the top four this season – making it four seasons on the trot we’ve qualified for the Champions League.
Christian is part of a strong attacking hand played by Mauricio Pochettino at the Vitality with Heung-Min Son returning alongside Lucas Moura and Dele Alli. Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko also return.
The Danish playmaker said: “We need to focus on one game at a time and we are fully focussed on today.
“Every game is different. It doesn’t matter what happened last time, what matters is the next game. We want to come back. We want to be able to show we’re capable of winning this game and we’re used to winning now so we need to get back to that. That’s our challenge.
“There are two games left of the season in the Premier League so it’s now or never. We want to bounce back (from last week’s defeat against West Ham) and this is an opportunity to do that.”
